An Opportunity to Impact Lives

I was at Memorial University of Newfoundland completing my degree in biochemistry and trying to figure out what to do next when chiropractic came into my life. I loved science and health care, and a friend of mine told me I should meet a chiropractor in my town. I didn’t really know what a chiropractor did, but my friend thought I’d like the profession and knew I didn’t like taking medication.

I’ve never seen someone love their job as much as that chiropractor did. His patients loved him; he was their hero. His office was full of positive energy unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I made an appointment and started getting adjusted. It was this chiropractor that inspired me to enter the profession.

Learning to Influence Health Naturally

Dr. Byrne attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. He liked chiropractic’s natural approach and addressing the body’s structure to get it functioning optimally. ‘’The body was designed to be well and healthy, not sick.” While there, he learned about the nervous system and its role in expressing health. ‘’The nervous system controls everything, and chiropractic influences it.”

After completing his education, Dr. Byrne started seeing patients. He quickly learned what a powerful impact chiropractic had on his patients. ‘’It blew my mind. I knew chiropractic worked and that I was meant to be a chiropractor. Seeing such dramatic results was huge, and I started seeing more and more changes in people.”

Dr. Byrne completes a variety of continuing education courses every year on topics such as

  • Applied Kinesiology
  • B.E.S.T. Technique
  • Koren Specific Technique
  • Nutrition

He is highly skilled in detecting the cause of patients’ problems, looking at physical and emotional aspects of health.

Living a Lifestyle of Wellness

Dr. Byrne is originally from Newfoundland. His hardworking parents raised him with great values and wanted the best for him. They made sacrifices for him to become a chiropractor. These principles stuck with him, and he makes the same commitment to his family, patients and community.

Dr. Byrne and his wife, Janella, have two boys and have lived in Rockford since 2004. One of his sons is bilingual, and both kids have been adjusted since two hours after they were born. They’re perfectly healthy and have only been to the medical doctor twice, once for stitches and once for a broken arm.

In the summer, Dr. Byrne loves going golfing with his family. He is a Century Club member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors. He supports Toys for Tots and Lean On Me Ministries as well as sponsor local high school sports teams.
